SHANGHAI, JW Mariott

* NON HALAL*

The award winning restaurant at JW Marriott KL, 'Shanghai' specializes in exquisite Shanghainese cuisine. The oriental decor :- Deep red velvet carpet with motifs and authentic chinese paintings on the wall provides an ambience of the original old shanghai restaurant set from back in the day.

Left : Cold dish - sliced chicken in special sauce - FOC
Right : onion pancake RM10 (2 pcs)

Our starter for today was the complimentary duck in special sauce from the 'cold dish' menu. A terrific appetizer to start a lovely meal. We ordered a few more dim sum dishes. The lau sar pau was not up to Jin Xuan's standard. The custards were not creamy and buns not entirely filled up like Jin Xuan's.
