Penang's famous Char Kuay Teow

I was on work trip at Penang this week and managed to grab a bite the char kuay teow that is said to be the best in Penang. at Kafe Heng Huat @ Lorong Selamat.

The owner, usually wearing red barrette and an apron whipped not only the most delicious, but also the most arrogant plate of char kuay teow. Notoriously famous for her arrogant and rude attitude, other blogs may have confirmed  that her stall was once attacked with bricks by an unhappy customer.

Though ridiculously overpriced (RM7.50/RM8/RM9.50), but this plate of char kuay teow worth every dime and every minute!

My verdict :- the noodles were springy and every single strand was coated with flavour and 'wok hei'. The char kuay teow definately has the 'wow' factor. The gigantic prawns (3-pcs) is also part of the attraction. And not forgetting the lup cheong (chinese sausages), definately enhances the aroma and tastes good with the char kuay teow.
